About Me

Hi, my name is Luke Godfrey. Based in Maidstone in Kent, I am a self-taught web designer specialising in designing visually stunning and user-friendly Squarespace websites for small to medium businesses in Kent, London, Surrey, Sussex and throughout the UK.

I was introduced to the world of website design when I was still in secondary school by my girlfriend’s father, who at the time was in the process of creating an aviation publication website. I looked over his shoulder and immediately took an interest in website design. I got my hands on copies of the software he was using (Dreamweaver, Fireworks & Flash) and learning to design websites became my new hobby.

By late 2007 I was ready to launch LG Web Design and start designing websites professionally. I was lucky enough to take on projects for various local businesses soon after including Clarus Homes and Spic ‘n’ Span, whom I am still working with today. Over the years they have upgraded their websites with me from platform to platform as my web design skills improved.

Over the last eight years of designing Squarespace websites I have been slowly teaching myself how to use custom coding to further customise the design of my websites, and with each new project I continue to learn more and more. I am proud to say that all of the new websites I design include a vast amount of Custom CSS coding as standard.

Whether you're looking for a redesign or to get your very first website, I can act as your one-stop-shop; from helping you register a domain and set up an email account, to designing your logo and website, getting you listed on Google and designing and printing your business cards; I do it all!

To get started all you need to do is contact me to discuss your requirements and I’ll be able to give you a free no obligation quote over the phone. If my quote and the Squarespace billing are within your budget I’ll then email you an official itemised quote, along with all the runnings costs, so you have everything in writing.

When you're ready to proceed I only require a 50% deposit to get started. You pay the rest when you are happy with your new website and ready to go live. Don’t worry if you don’t like what I come up with, you’re not stuck with the first draft!
